Although the loyal DVD site isn’t out as of the time I write this, the 4th season finished airing months ago and now since they have the page for pre-order up, I’ve been kinda itching to write a review.

Well as this season starts off from the 3rd season cliffhanger, it is definately off to an awesome commence. Atlantis lost, adrift in status and running out of power. To conserve energy, they shrink the shield down to a puny fragment of the city and then what happens? …Atlantis runs into an asteroid belt! Then to catch more power, they actually raid the Asuran homeworld for ZPM’s using Dr. Weir! A very appealing beginning.
While the majority of episodes are hits, such as the episode where a disease causes everyone to lose their memories(Tabula Rasa) or the one where Teal’c comes for a visit(Midway) ; there are some that tumble short of their potential for giving more or are impartial humdrum plain! For example: the end-season cliffhanger! This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with an Atlantis cliffhanger, not leaving me anxiously spirited to peep how they score out of that region, waiting for the next season. It ends with Sheppard and his team searching a building for Teyla, but it self-destructs and collapses in on them. (Zzzzzz…you know they survive it) A better diagram to demolish the season would have been to leave Sheppard stranded 48,000 years in the future, revealing more about what happened in the galaxy in all that time and trying to figure out a diagram to secure attend home with the McKay hologram’s current opinion failing to work! Now that sounds like one hell of a cliffhanger!

I reviewed season 3 as well, saying it gives potential for an awesome season 4. Does it live up to that potential? It comes halt, but unfortunately no it doesn’t. Why? It fair seems like the shows creators/writers aren’t willing to go all the intention in some of the episode’s stories. For that matter, I can’t figure out what direction the reveal is headed in anymore; can you? (I engage the explain IS going in some direction)
At least this time around they gave more attention to the Wraith and to Teyla. The whole epic arc with the Athosian people being kidnapped and Teyla’s search for them, both expanded, and renewed some interest, in her character. In my season 3 review I also stated my current character is McKay, but even I am starting to gain tired of seeing him so mighty in every episode.
Dr. Weir was officially lost this season, then killed, then…kinda came help? But fortunately we regained some ancient faces. Dr. Beckett (or at least a clone) came assist at an extinguish of the season episode. And while I liked having Samantha Carter as the Atlantis commander, honest like Dr. Weir in season 3, they didn’t consume her character enough!
Which leads us to season 5. SPOILERS AHEAD! I’ve read various sources about what season 5 of Atlantis will have instore for us fans & veiwers, and most have been confirmed. The biggy for me being that Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) will NOT be succor as Atlantis’ commander. (Due to the fact she’ll be staring in her gain demonstrate, “Sanctuary”.) But she will advance succor for some guest appearances. Who’s replacing her? Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo)! I have completely mixed feelings about his character, but he definately doesn’t have what it takes to speak Atlantis! So unless he grows a pair and proves himself as something other than a cowering beaurocrat, this alone makes me unsafe about season 5 as well as the future of the note. Dr. Beckett and Dr. Daniel Jackson will guest star in some episodes, as well as 2 current characters and an entirely current rush being introduced.
Don’t collect me putrid, I level-headed really like Atlantis and am going to win the season 4 DVD once it’s released, but I must say this is the first time I am perilous about how the next season will lift shape, or if it will even be any qualified? Let’s objective hope season 5 will display me evil!
The season 4 DVD station itself will have the usual: commentaries, deleted scenes, etc. However, this will be the first Atlantis season DVD that will have a bloopers reel.
**UPDATE: Well, Season 4 came out today, I’ve got it and am watching it apt now. Physical DVD-wise, the video and sound is serene ample like seasons 2 & 3. Packaging is the same as well. The menus are different from seasons 2 & 3 DVD’s, but are detached cool-looking and are easy to navigate. (You don’t have to go through a lot of submenus to net what you are looking for.) Hope this latest info helps anyone!
Surprisingly, season 4 of Stargate Atlantis is better than season 3–it is fair about on par with season 2. Most of the storylines are decent, with some very delectable ones; even with the mostly annoying characters, this season is tolerable.
Lt. Col. John Sheppard has deviated from his Jack O’Neill Jr. behavior, now becoming a standard yet spineless character; when faced with most women, he’s tranquil and weak-willed, barely standing up for himself–unlike his decisive attitude around men. Col. Samantha Carter, taking the region of Dr. Weir, is a friendly and strong leader–at times, she is the only one to deny up for the honest course of action. Dr. Rodney McKay, barely changing in the slightest, remains arrogant and smug; however, Carter can sometimes shut him up with a well-placed comment, which is quite satisfying. Teyla, although the victim of a sometimes pathetic dwelling twist, is very faintly better than she was in season 3, sometimes offering up Athosian wisdom for those in need. Ronon is, in my idea, the best character in the show: he is on occasion the only person with current sense, and also tells it exactly like it is.
As for the episodes:
Adrift–5 of 10–We rob up where we left off in season 3, with the city floating in residence and losing power. The whole of this episode is spent on creating and solving spot upon problem: an asteroid belt threatens the city, as well as badly damaged power conduits and loss of shield protection. This goes on until it ends in a very unsatisfactory manner. I couldn’t succor but deem that a better solution could have been found to the main, crippling predicament of this episode.
Lifeline–7 of 10–Even with the dreadful ending of `Adrift’, this episode finishes things up very nicely, with a valorous mission and intrepid succor from the wounded Dr. Weir. Rodney of course discovers something else that they could try to do while going through with their recent mission; I expected things to go from terrible to worse and their plans to fail, but thankfully everything went well, with the city actually surviving somewhat unscathed. This is a fine ending to a poor plight.
Reunion–8 of 10–Ronon stumbles upon three of his friends from Sateda (his home planet) and wonders whether he should leave Atlantis to stop with them. The Satedans are actually slightly dislikeable, being somewhat boorish and rough around the edges; they influence Ronon far too remarkable at times, but they have an unpredictable secret that almost dooms Ronon. As with mostly all episodes focusing on Ronon, this is enjoyable–although it features some very odd fight scenes…
Doppelganger–4 of 10–Sheppard touches a crystalline object on an alien planet and soon appears in everyone’s nightmares. The view tedious this episode is interesting; but throughout it, I was laughing! Unintentionally, it becomes more of a sunless comedy instead of horrific and piquant. Something about Sheppard being the villain in each and every nightmare is actually quite comic.
Travelers–3 of 10–Sheppard is captured by a unfamiliar ship and tries to speed while dealing with the ship’s stereotypically glorious commander. This episode might actually outdo season 2’s `Grace Under Pressure’ in terms of being annoying. Larrin, the commander, is anything but military, even though she lives on her tattered ship; her hair is long and flowing, she wears tight unlit leather, and she saunters through the corridors like a fashion model. When she gets what she wants, her attitude is predictably smug–when she doesn’t net what she wants, she becomes pugnacious and petulant, at one point stomping her foot and hollering like a twelve-year-old. All in all, this is useless.
Tabula Rasa–9 of 10–In an amazingly wonderful and entertaining episode, Rodney finds himself tied to his desk, with almost total memory loss, and exclusive instructions from a recording of himself. The explanation of the memory loss is logical and understandable; the adventures ensuing are intelligent and mysterious; the flashbacks to hours earlier are nice and enlightening; and it all serves to perform an episode I heartily enjoyed!
Missing–6 of 10–Teyla and Keller, traveling to expend a day at the recent Athosian settlement, catch that the people are missing; they encounter the unfavorable Bola Kai tribesmen wandering the planet and must cloak for apprehension of seize and death. In this episode, Keller at last shows her mettle–after whimpering and moaning for most of the time, she finds her inner courage and faces a hazardous enemy. The largest quandary with the episode, though, is that in all other season 3 and 4 episodes, I saw no mention of the Athosians being relocated to another planet. I have no opinion when they got there!
The Seer–8 of 10–Still searching for the Athosians, Teyla seeks out a famous seer–the leader of a group of people on another planet–and finds that he knows powerful about Atlantis’ future. Although the seer himself doesn’t have great to do, his visions predict quite a bit of pain for Atlantis; meanwhile, the team finds themselves inextricably linked with the Wraith in order to fight the Replicators. With the amount of adventures involved–and the very diminutive amount of mistakes made–this episode is very pleasurable.
Miller’s Crossing–5 of 10–Rodney’s sister Jeannie is kidnapped and, in searching for her, Rodney stumbles into a trap. This episode gives Rodney and Jeannie a chance to argue and sulk, which they are both quite well-behaved at. Objective as in season 3’s `McKay and Mrs. Miller’, the premise itself is not very sound; the decisions that Rodney, Jeannie, and even their kidnapper perform are foolish; as a plus, Jeannie decides to call Rodney by his precise name, Meredith, through the entire episode–even though he has already told her that he goes by the name of Rodney. Like before, this is rather worthless.
This Mortal Coil–9 of 10–After a peculiar drone from an unknown source crashes into the city, the denizens of Atlantis slowly inaugurate to realize that there’s something fresh going on. At the beginning, this episode is a game of `what’s defective with this relate? ‘ Once the truth is finally known–shocking not only the team, but myself as well–the team must work to avert misfortune and provide serve…but those who need abet are the most unlikely of people!
Be All My Sins Remember’d–7 of 10–Since the Replicators are attacking more and more planets, the team decides to resolve things once and for all. Larrin, clichéd commander of the Traveler warship, gets an appearance; when Sheppard comes to her–virtually groveling for her relieve instead of candidly asking for it–she decides to tie him to a chair (apparently a running gag) . What’s nice is that Col. Ellis, commander of the Apollo, finally manages to give Rodney a fragment of his mind before they all go off to fight the Replicators. In the raze, though a unique and gross enemy is revealed to us in the audience, although the team knows nothing of them.
Spoils of War–7 of 10–The team, led by a signal from Todd’s subspace tracking diagram, stumbles on a top secret Wraith outpost, where they will win many threats. Teyla finally gets a chance to abet out, with as distinguished courage as ever, while Sheppard, Rodney, and Ronon perceive the facility. A Wraith queen is spotlighted and gets to assure and spit in the usual over-the-top manner. Although this episode is contrived in spots, it serene is somewhat decent.
Quarantine–6 of 10–After the city mistakenly quarantines itself, many of the main characters earn themselves trapped together, giving them a chance to learn more about each other. We acquire that Dr. Zelenka raises pigeons; Dr. Keller graduated from college at age 15; and other assorted puny tidbits. Rodney is of course featured prominently in this episode, as he is in almost all of them. The extremely obedient piece about this episode is that Dr. Zelenka finally gets a chance to do something marvelous for the entire city. Otherwise, it’s the usual, mediocre at best.
Harmony–4 of 10–Sheppard and Rodney agree to shepherd a young princess on a rite of passage; in a reverse of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s `The Dauphin’, the girl–who bears the Earth name Harmony–develops a crush on Sheppard. This results in her acting somewhat like The Lord of the Rings’ Gollum, pretending to roar in Sheppard’s arms while smirking at Rodney instead. She is the classic spoiled-brat child, not caring whether Sheppard or Rodney survive their mission, and explaining her actions with the words “I’m the queen!” Throughout most of the episode, I could notice all the major events coming easily. This is a light, very faintly comedic episode that is worth seeing only once.
Outcast–6 of 10–Sheppard’s father dies and he comes home to Earth for the funeral, but then finds himself in noteworthy deeper anguish than he expected. His polished brother wears a care for suit and has perfectly coiffed hair; his ex-wife, even with her nightclub-style outfit, works implausibly for the Department of Homeland Security; strangely, Sheppard finds himself at a complete loss for words every time he encounters either of them. Otherwise, the main storyline–featuring Replicators, as well as an unexpected appearance by a archaic supporting character from season 1–is decent at the very least. Of course, there are some fable points that I can contemplate coming…but then again, that’s just for almost all the episodes.
Trio–8 of 10–Carter, Rodney, and Keller are trapped in a musty Genii mine that is racked by tremors. Thankfully, Rodney doesn’t accept to display great of his very annoying tendencies in this episode, although contributing an concept on how to escape; Carter and Keller also do their separate parts, trying to net out before the tremors ruin the mine. While this is the standard `a quandary arises, and most attempts to solve it fail miserably’ episode, it manages to be inspiring because of the interaction between the three characters. All three of them exhibit themselves by design of bold actions.
Midway–10 of 10–With Ronon about to be evaluated by the IOA, Carter decides that Teal’c could pronounce the Satedan powerful. However, when times grow tough, Ronon and Teal’c must work together to put Earth. This is by far the best episode of season 4, featuring a worthy crossover and repulsive problems. There is a spacious (and regrettably short) fight scene between Ronon and Teal’c, featuring Chuck the gate technician taking bets on who will salvage. Even with the tribulations, the two warriors work well together; however, in the meantime, Sheppard and Rodney secure themselves in equal anxiety. I treasure this episode not only because of Teal’c, but also because of the curious and plausible pickle. If only every Atlantis episode had the astounding writing this one does!
The Kindred, Piece 1–6 of 10–In a slightly lively decline from `Midway’, Teyla finds herself having visions of Kanaan, the father of her child, and feels that she must search at a definite village. In the meantime, a sudden plague is sweeping through the galaxy. Almost everything in this episode results in disaster; Teyla–while searching for her people–is captured, and Sheppard and the other team members net that a familiar and annoying villain is slow the plague. Todd, the jolly Wraith, gives them microscopic serve and asks for it in return, but in the waste his information does them no marvelous. The very last moment of the episode features a surprising return from a much-beloved character…
The Kindred, Fraction 2–7 of 10–While Teyla finds her people again, Sheppard and friends try to accept her with the assist of the newly returned character (whose identity I will not notify) . That person has quite a few health problems, which lessen his/her ability to help; in the meantime, Teyla learns more about the experiments being performed on some of her people. In the ruin, information is gathered and the Athosians are rescued, but Teyla remains a prisoner. Even though the villain in this two-part episode now has the usual mad-scientist qualities, this episode is far from unpleasant. The slay is tragic as the returned character takes his/her leave from his/her friends. Not terrible!
The Last Man–7 of 10–Sheppard comes through the gate and finds that he’s been sent 48,000 years in the future; naturally, Rodney–once Sheppard went missing–came up with a hologram of himself that is programmed to aid Sheppard in any procedure possible. Most of the episode is taken up by reminisces of events taking state after Sheppard vanished–there are many things that go horrible, such as Michael predictably trying to win over the galaxy. While Sheppard tries to accept a map out of the future, the hologram of older Rodney tells him stories of Ronon, Carter, Teyla, Keller and Rodney himself too. This episode is salubrious because of its similarities to the Star Trek: Voyager series finale, but unfortunately the ending is rushed.

I wasn’t positive if this movie was going to be corny or not being a childrens movie and all – but I was surprised at how comical it was! I loved Eddie Murphy in “Daddy Day Care” and loved him in this movie equally as noteworthy! This movie isn’t appropriate for younger ages (it’s rated PG) and I have it’s PG because of some adult humor – but it’s nothing you wouldn’t peer on TV and no disagreeable language is worn! “Imagine That” has a really cute message for all ages!
I LOVED this movie! It is fabulous! Colossal sage, vast position, expansive ending, large actors, spacious message – I LOVED IT! It was really, for me, Eddie Murphy’s best movie yet! I am a ample fan of Eddie Murphy and I feel this movie was fabulous! It was silly, sweet and adventerous and had many clear advantages throughout it all. The perfect family movie! Please people, do not pay ANY attention to the abominable 1-star/2-star reviews! Purchase IT FROM ME! THIS MOVIE WAS Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE PERFECT FAMILY COMEDY MOVIE!

This is a astronomical workout that can grow with you as your strength and stamina earn. This workout is probably too intense for the accurate beginner, but would provide an agreeable workout for the advanced beginner to intermediate exerciser. There are 3 separate workouts (called Levels) that progress in trouble. Level 1 lasts 20 minutes and consists of an interval workout that mixes cardio with strength moves that work the upper and lower body simultaneously. Level 2 is 15 minutes and has more titillating moves such as squat thrusts, jumping pushups, tricep dips with a leg lifts and one-arm pushups. This fraction has some high impact moves, so be prepared to jump. Fortunately, Heba and Vicky note grievous impact versions, so you don’t ever have to jump if you don’t want to. Finally, Level 3 is 10 minutes and focuses on strength moves to really employ the muscles and add definition. A warm-up and cool-down are included. The stretching allotment is edifying. Bob doesn’t really do the moves, but he coaches and helps the contestants have valid invent.

You can customize your workout by selecting which levels you want to do and the order you want to do them at the beginning of you workout. You can do each level once, more than once or not at all. Things That Could Be Improved: My only complaint is that sometimes the contestants performing the workout don’t always display the best create, and will sometimes randomly do their hold thing. Your best bet is to follow Allie if you want to do the depart correctly. Heba shows modifications to manufacture the workout easier if you are unprejudiced starting out. The moves are simple and easy to follow, so you can do this workout even if you aren’t clean coordinated.
Overall: This is a grand workout that will really improve your fitness level and attend to effect strength and agility. It uses proven techniques such as interval training and plyometrics, and Bob is a motivating instructor. This is how they really workout on the ranch. Delight In and hope you gain large results!
I not only acquire the other Biggest Loser dvds, but do my daily workout from a selection of about 100 dvds. Mild, this was a “must have” to add to my collection…as that was my first idea after doing it.
I’ve always found Bob to be one of the best motivators. He doesn’t objective do a disappear that you follow and depart on, he shows you as a coach how to do it correctly so that you regain maximum back from it.
This dvd is both cardio and sculpting and this creates maximum bulky burning…you’ll burn lots of calories during the cardio portions, then the sculpting will assist you increase muscle mass which, thereby, increases your metabolism and burns even more calories even while you are at rest.
Even if you occupy the other Biggest Loser workouts, this one adds original moves, unusual people, more variety and vast results.
I typically rotate all my workouts so that I have constant variety from my collection but I found myself continually going succor to this dvd time and again and relieve to relieve.
Therefor, it needed to recieve some accolades via Amazon…Bob succeeded once again with a “must have” workout that all can do!
And, on that heed, it should be famous whether you workout daily like myself or you are honest beginning, he has moves for either class of fitness persona. You can follow along with the easy program, or go stout steam once you improve…either intention, the moves are easy to follow and form speedy results.

This movie is reminiscent of classic comedies of the 60’s. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have incredible chemistry, but so many laughable moments you will laugh out loud. Goldie learning how to be a homemaker is priceless, and she does the physical comedy so well. This movie flows continuously from beginning to raze. It does not hasten in any portion. It is a keeper, and a marvelous addition to any collection.

No matter how many times I glance this movie (and occupy me, I’ve watched it many, many, many times) it’s always appetizing. Goldie Hawn stars as Joanna Stayton, an incrediblly rich, incredibly bored and incredibly bitchy woman with nothing left to do while her yacht is docked at a itsy-bitsy coastal Oregon town called Elk’s Cove but to hire a carpenter named Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell, gotta care for him) to remodel her closet. But when the job isn’t done to her satisfaction, he winds up overboard along with all his tools. He vows to score revenge on her and the opportunity presents itself when Joanne falls overboard in the middle of the night and is later discovered by a crew of Portuguese men on a garbage barge. But Joanna has amnesia and can’t remember who she is. And her husband Grant is all to gratified to pretend he doesn’t know her and leave her in the hospital. But when Dean sees the “amnesia lady” on the news, he recognizes Joanna and hatches a opinion to accept revenge and procure the money she owes him. But neither one expects to topple in esteem with the other. Overboard is a fun and humorous movie that also teaches us the lesson that money doesn’t purchase us complete happiness. It can for you though if you capture Overboard because it’s worth watching hundreds of times over. I esteem it! Luxuriate In!

Here’s a movie for dog lovers, the elderly, children of divorce, FOBs (Friends of Birds), veteran Boy Scouts, people yearning for adventure, and anyone who has ever loved… and lost. Up is for everyone. It made me laugh out loud, and it made me yell.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Up! Click Here
I view it would be tough for Up to match the emotional power of Wall-E. The two Pixar films are similar in their lack of dialogue in the first act, which helps deepen the emotional impact. Up begins with Carl, a panicked young boy star-struck by a famed explorer; and kookie Ellie, who has a similar obsession. The two kids become like a flash friends, and jabber to one day fade to Venezuela’s Paradise Falls. After getting married, they recall their dream home and fix it up, hoping to occupy it with children. Carl and Ellie’s life together from childhood through aged age is depicted, silently, with delicacy and subtlety. The first 15 minutes is like a celebration of a pleased marriage, and you truly feel Carl’s distress when he is left alone. He sits slumped in his chair, talking to the house as if it is the missing Ellie.
When developers conclude in on Carl’s beloved home, he decides to fulfill his promise to Ellie and move to Paradise Falls. A dilapidated balloon vendor, Carl lifts his home with hundreds of knowing balloons. Stowing away on the porch is Russell, a corpulent, valorous kid trying to gather a scouting badge.
Buy,Download, Or Stream Up! Click Here
After landing in Paradise Falls, the venerable man and the cramped boy are joined by a golden retriever named Dug who can talk with his collar, and a mammoth rare bird that bonds with Russell (he names her “Kevin”) . Dug is priceless: spot-on for every dog that ever lived, including an obsession with squirrels. Through a series of stop calls and adventures, the quartet vanquishes a villain, saving the day. And Russell earns his scouting badge.
In the process, Carl learns to let go of his black mourning for Ellie, and live life again. When this happens, a truly magical thing happens. Before, Carl’s craggy face is gray and monochromatic. At the moment of his transformation, Carl’s face is awash in color, and he is surrounded by heavenly hues. It reminded me of The Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy steps out of her gray world and into a candy-colored Munchkinland. Carl, too, enters a whole modern world.
Up is a deeply emotional film, chubby of truth. It’s the year’s best film. Derive another triumph for Pixar.
Someday, Pixar is going to do it — they’re going to produce an emotionally uninspiring, lackluster engrossing movie. But in the meantime, they’re collected putting out enjoyable intelligent movies like “Up,” which defies the usual kid-movie conventions by starring a crotchety traditional man. It’s a charming, fun shrimp adventure tale with flying dogs and balloon-powered houses, but underlying it is a bittersweet limited narrative about loss and care for.
As a child, the shrinking Carl Fredricksen bonded with the oddball Ellie over their shared esteem of adventure, the explorer Charles Muntz, and Paradise Falls. They later married, depart into their “clubhouse” together, and lived a long, sadly childless life together. When Ellie died, she had never fulfilled her dream of going to Paradise Falls.
Now crotchety, alone and harassed by a sincere estate developer, Carl (Ed Asner) is finally ordered to a retirement home. But he isn’t going quietly — instead he attaches thousands of balloons to his house and floats it away toward South America. But he accidentally takes an alive to, naive Wilderness Explorer (a thinly-veiled Boy Scout) named Russell (Jordan Nagai) along for the waddle. Abominable kid was honest trying to win an “assisting the elderly” badge.
And the jungle shuffle to Paradise Falls turns out to have some surprising obstacles: a large emulike bird that Russell names Kevin, a talking dog named Dug (”I am jumping on you, bird!”), and a mysterious outmoded man who lives deep in the heart of the jungle. Turns out the frail guy is very familiar to Carl — and to recall Kevin, he’s willing to sacrifice Carl and Russell.
Industry experts were babbling about how “Up” wouldn’t be as accepted as the previous Pixar movies, because the protagonist is basically a crusty obsolete coot. Well, shows what they know. It ended up becoming one of those classic movies that somehow appeals to all ages — while the humor and action appeal to children, adults can indulge in Carl’s care for for his lost wife, and his tiresome realization that he’s clinging to the past.
In fact, the first ten minutes are some of the most heart-tugging, quietly bittersweet scenes I’ve seen in a long time. Without a word, they reveal all the ups and downs of a realistic marriage — joys, sorrows (Ellie’s inability to have children), growing obsolete together, and finally loss.
But it’s not a depressing movie by any stretch — in fact, it’s like a childhood fantasy approach to life, complete with a floating house suspended on hundreds of balloons, and biplanes piloted by a talking dog army.. Plenty of titanic dialogue (”Do you want to play a game? It’s called Peep Who Can Go the Longest Without Saying Anything.” “Frigid! My mom loves that game!”) and an action-packed climax in an used airship.
Ed Asner is absolutely perfect as ubergrouch Carl — crotchety, grumpy, and obvious to fulfill his wife’s lifelong dream, but gradually realizing he’s clinging to the past. Nagai is equally perfect as Carl’s polar opposite: a naive, chattery Scout who is sure to reunite Kevin with her baby chicks. And the utterly adorable Dug and the other dogs deserve special contemplate. These creatures are utterly hilarious — they talk (”I hid under your porch because I like you”) and act the arrangement dogs would if they talked. Three words: cone of shame.
The two-disc edition is going to have some very nice extras, but once again people with regular-def DVDs are going to procure shafted because the Blu-ray edition will have a bunch of strange stuff. Grr. As for this one, there’s a digital copy, the director’s audio commentary, kinda-alternate-ending “The Many Endings of Muntz,” and the documentary “Adventure Is Out There” about the research for this movie.
There are also a pair of adorable spicy shorts. “Partly Cloudy” has a much-abused stork having to command potentially foul baby creatures from a kind but clueless cloud. And “Dug’s Special Mission” is a sort of backstory for the adorable Dug, explaining what the heck he was doing before he met up with Carl and Russell.
“Up” continues Pixar’s running tally of gloriously enchanting, emotionally layered movies that the entire family can savor. With that, I have only one more thing to say… SQUIRREL!

At the core of what looks on the surface to be a standard summer buddy movie is an spicy premise: What does become of the overly sensitized male when confronted with the reality that all his closest friends are female and that he is at a complete loss to salvage any groomsmen, in particular, a best man, for his wedding? It’s not an earth-shattering jam to address, yet the area gives rise to a lot of humorous questions about what constitutes masculine behavior in our supposedly evolved society. Fortunately, director/co-writer John Hamburg (Along Came Polly) has fashioned a 2009 comedy (with co-writer Larry Levin) fat of shrewd observations and hilarious gags that transcend formula and elevate the tale into something current and genuinely likeable.

Naturally, Zooey starts to resent Sydney’s burgeoning role in Peter’s life – and things net complicated before the inevitable conclusion.
Two of Judd Apatow’s familiar derive company star. Finally at the center of a major movie, Paul Rudd is ideally cast as Peter since the role takes advantage of how he combines his boyish charm and unpredictable nebbishness into a memorable character. In fact, he manages to give Peter’s awkward attempts to overcome his social apprehension a obvious emotional resonance. We feel every painful step he takes in replicating Sydney’s free spirit, and it becomes easy to root for his success. Distinguished better cast here than as the self-conscious lead in last year’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Jason Segel offers his doughy likeability to a role that suits his casual, lumbering personality, even when he exposes an intimate secret between Peter and Zooey in a wedding party dinner toast.

If the interplay between Rudd and Segel feels familiar from Apatow comedies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, it is a coincidence that Hamburg takes fleshy advantage of to support the movie comically though-provoking. Rashida Jones brings a raspy appeal to Zooey, although she is kept mostly at the sidelines. Also underused are Jaime Pressly as Zooey’s tart-tongued friend Denise and as Peter’s parents, J.K. Simmons (playing the same wiseass father he played in Juno) and especially Jane Curtin. Jon Favreau has a thankless role as Denise’s alpha-male jerk of a husband, while Andy Samberg makes a most unconvincing satisfied as Peter’s sleep-around, personal trainer brother. There are plenty of laughs throughout its slightly long 105-minute running time, but what may surprise you is the number of insightful moments that this affectionate, satirical comedy provides.
The United States, in general, is quite a homophobic country. Men are expected to have platonic feelings of adore only for immediate family members, such as parents, grandparents, siblings and their fill offspring. Sharing one’s nonsexual feelings of adore outside this small world is basically considered taboo. In other cultures this is certainly not the case, something I had the kindly fortune to experience first hand!
I Esteem You, Man does a fine job of comparing and contrasting heterosexual women’s emotionally rich, same-sex friendships with heterosexual men’s typically barren, same-sex friendships. It exposes the hypocrisy that it’s okay for women to hug and be emotionally discontinuance and talk in graphic details about their sex lives amongst themselves, but NOT for a man to do the same staunch thing!
What a refreshing and insightful film! This shiny narrative also compares male homosexual and heterosexual same-sex relationships and on the surface, at least, they are indistinguishable! This might be news to some people – but all well-adjusted human beings have a yearning for emotionally rewarding relationships!
And, one person can not fulfill ALL your emotional needs! It’s really that simple!
Thank you Hollywood for taking such a risk in making such a profound film with a astronomical sense of humor! It shows you absorb a sure segment of the American public is veteran enough to want to gawk the meaning of platonic adore between men!

I was an adult when Inspector Gadget: The Unique Series first appeared on the air and I loved the exhibit from the launch! I am autistic, I loved expressionless old-fashioned sharp TV stuff long after most older folk have moved on. I unprejudiced liked Gadget because, he was different and trying to do safe for others in the world despite it all. I like anyone who is different struggling to meet the life’s challenges as they arrive with a smile and an indomitable spirit hence Gadget proved to be my kind of people

Gadget was also fun because, he was a technical person but kind of scatter brained like me. Gadget was misunderstood by most people and had only a few discontinuance but superb friends making him very easy for me to like. Gadget had a helpful heart always filled with admire and hope despite it all and that means something awesome in my book too. Maybe caring about things on TV is an autistic thing if so I do like such nice gentle themed television shows an aweful lot! For me profitable characters on TV shows are like kindly friends you visit with for a time. I am not marvelous at the complexity of loyal social skills so I inspect lots of TV peek the characters to look what makes them estimable.

I was happy I got this DVD space. It was a colossal improvement over the cheap Sterling/UAV Gadget DVDs “The Gadget Files” and “Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas.” The first 22 episodes are there, including the unusual pilot, with Gadget’s mustache! Like I did with the Generous DVDs, it’s time to give it my “Gadget Factors…”
PROS
The modern episodes are there, of course.
There is some frosty special features, such as the interview with the show’s creators and the recent art gallery!
The pilot has its fresh dialogue (since reruns of this episode had badly-done fresh voiceovers explaining Gadget’s mustache was a unfounded.) Plus, the pilot episode has its fresh opening and closing titles, featuring Gadget’s mustache throughout them!
CONS
There’s some noticable DVNR on some episodes.
And of course, like the other Gadget DVDs, there’s the following edits…
EDITS
The title of an episode is electronically added at the initiate of most episodes during the beginning of the first scene. When these cartoons originally aired, including their Nickelodeon reruns, they had no episode titles! This probably wasn’t really needed.
The fresh DiC logo featuring Inspector Gadget dotting the “i” was prick. It was replaced with the “Wonderful World of DiC” logo on most episodes, though a couple of episodes have the notorious 1990s “Kid in Bed” DiC logo tacked onto it. This was quite unneccesary. However, the unusual late-70s/early-80s LBS logo is intact on all episodes, which you might remember if you saw this point to on Nickelodeon help in the 90s.
I have been waiting for quite some time ever since I got my “Gadget Files” DVD for a company to release a box site of Gadget episodes, and it’s finally happened!
All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend it to those who are tremendous fans of the demonstrate, or those who are dying to explore this classic cartoon again!

Movie Title: An Officer and a Gentleman An Officer and a Gentleman is available for streaming or downloading. |
This film is a classic and viscerally unbiased portrayal of human conflict and personal growth. It clearly depicts working class young adults who sought to crash away from past barriers and limitations and create better lives for themselves. It is a coming of age record, where a tubby spectrum of feelings are explored as young adults learn about fulfilling their potential, building value systems and attempting to fulfill personal desires with honesty and integrity on many levels. Two hot young stars were cast in the leading roles: Richard Gere who was riding high on his fresh success in “American Gigolo” and Debra Winger who shined in her role in “Urban Cowboy”. With stars of this caliber, it surprised me to learn (in the Special Features fragment) that doubts existed about the film’s acceptance by theater audiences. In fact, the script had made the rounds of different studios for eight years, with no one audacious to invent the film which was essentially about training Naval pilots. The anguish was it was too cessation to the destroy of the Viet Nam War and would be rejected by the public as being about war. Luckily, the film was interpreted very differently by the viewing audience who saw it in a certain light where personal survival, transformation and the expression of worship were the key elements successfully played out on film.

Richard Gere stars as Zack Mayo, a hardened, slightly rebellious loner who locked up his feelings and dared not earn emotionally conclude to people. He had been distress as a youth when his mother committed suicide and he went to live with his dad, who was a selfish womanizer and alcoholic. When Zack announced his acceptance into Naval candidacy school to become a pilot, his father did not give him accolades or benefit. This was nothing modern and it did not matter to Zack who pursued his dream with determination and courage. At the Port Townsend Naval Nefarious, Zack learned discipline and made modern friends. The camaraderie of being candidates and spellbinding themselves to acheive their goals awakened something current within him which totally transformed him. Zack excelled in physical survival skills and martial arts training. It was Gunnery Sergeant Foley’s job to detect weakness of character and courage, to eliminate candidates who would not survive under the harsh conditions of war. Foley knew of Zack’s streetwise rebellious tendencies and rode him hard. Foley and Zack clashed periodically and one climactic scene especially stood out … where Foley meted out severe discipline and punishment to obtain Zack to ask for a “D.O.R” roam (tumble out on inquire) . Zack endured the punishment and after a particularly difficult session of physical endurance tests, Zack *finally* gut wrenchingly admitted, “I got nowhere else to go” …
Besides the determined fable about a group of young adults who under go rigorous training to become Naval pilots, several other stories arise and are fully developed within the residence which makes this film so highly fascinating. Early on, Sgt Foley warned the candidates that young ladies who work in local factories, approach from across the Puget Sound, to meet Naval candidates, with one goal in mind: to marry a Navy pilot. They will stoop to any means to pick up their man. Zack and his friend Sid are dressed to ruin in their white uniforms during a social dance where they connect with two charming and magnificent factory workers of similar age to themselves. Paula a raven-haired beauty, played by Deborah Winger is paired with Zack, while Lynette, an exquisite blond is paired with Sid. The attraction between the paired off guys and ladies is mutual and in a short time, they often meet for consensual physical liasons, even going to a local motel when the candidates are on leave. While everyone agrees it is with “no strings attached”, the ladies have secret agendas with hopes of marriage. Zack attempts to play the gentleman, by going to meet Paula’s parents and have dinner at their home. However, he unexcited holds support and makes no promises to Paula. Paula plays it frosty, claiming to demand nothing but she *does* manage to melt his icy exterior when their physical relationship becomes more steamy and personal. The guys discuss their plans to crash off the liasons after graduation. As the extinguish of their training is arrive, the two candidates wintry their relationships with the two ladies. Lynette pulls a trick to gain Sid, that backfires in ways totally unimaginable. She refuses Sid’s engagement ring which results in one of the saddest, most gut-wrenching, heart-breaking and realistic scenes ever depicted on film. This earth-shattering event shakes Zack up and makes him realize what is true and considerable in his life … While the ending may arguably be interpreted by some as corny and hokey, in enact, it is very satisfying and provides an unprejudiced and fulfilling conclusion to the film. Initially, my first impression of this movie was this movie was going to be uninteresting. Then, after the first 20 minutes, my mind went into another direction. I found this movie to be challenging, and I knew there had to be some meaning to the movie. And indeed there was!
Zack Mayo, (Richard Gere) is a college graduate who pursues a chance to become a naval officer by entering the Officer Candidate Training School. In 14 solid weeks, Zack progresses and learns the ability of leadership, friendship, and discipline, through his tough drill instructor, (Louis Gossett Jr, in his Oscar-winning performance), and his friends.

Mood and tone are expressed intelligently through the emotions of adventure, torture, romance, and entertainment. My accepted aspect of this movie is Jack Nitzsche’s unforgettable scoring. The mood and tone ties in together as the music plays, and makes the audiences feel spontaneous of what they are watching (especially with the admire themes) .
This movie, starring Richard Gere, Debra Winger, David Keith, Lisa Blount, Louis Gossett Jr., Robert Loggia, and Lisa Eilbacher, was the winner recipient of 2 Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor: LOUIS GOSSETT JR., and Best Current Song: “UP WHERE WE BELONG.” Also nominated for 4 additional Academy Awards, including Best Actress: DEBRA WINGER, Best Unusual Screenplay: DOUGLAS DAY STEWART, Best Unusual Score: JACK NITZSCHE, Best Film editing, and nominated for a total of 8 Golden Globes, this movie unmarks the boundary between worship and adventure.
Richard Gere, even though nominated for a Golden Globe, should of been nominated for an Oscar. His outstanding performance brought the right nature of what it’s like to be his character. This was the performance of his entire career!

It’s absolutely wonderful. Please heed buyers that if you want closed captioned and you don’t notice it listed in the description, not to terror because it does have closed captioned in English. It has everything the regular edition has plus a few more extras. I was really impressed with the quality of the narrate as well as the sound. Also, because it’s a widescreen version as well when you settle to exhaust the closed captioning it doesn’t accumulate in the design of the report which is a nice advantage. I enjoy you’ll care for it. The music is fabulous. Ted Neeley was incredible and Carl Anderson is extremely talented. It’s a rock opera not a musical and every song tells the fable. Truly ingenious the diagram it was produced. The fact that it was shot on spot in Israel gives it the authenticity you don’t always witness in films. I recommend buying the soundtrack as well. You can’t beat the unbelievable tag either.
It took me almost two years (and a fresh viewing of the current JCS movie) to fully savor the masterpiece that is Jesus Christ Superstar, the 1973 film. Told entirely through catchy, rock opera music, it tells the legend of the last seven days in the life of Jesus Christ, but is hardly a literal interpretation and consists mostly of the drama between Judas and Jesus. The point of the film is to expose the bible in a original way- that everyone, even Jesus’s closest disciples helped contribute to the death of Jesus through their inescapable humanism. Filmed in the Jerusalem desert, the production is astonishing. It’s as if the best singers, film makers, dancers, musicians, and songwriters (Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice) came together for this one movie. Carl Anderson stars as Judas and is arguably the best performer to ever design the role. Ted Neeley is improbable too even though it takes a while to “acquire” the strenghth in his underacting. Norman Jewison, who’s experience and creativity as director shines through with every scene, takes the musical to another level, using a brilliantly conceptual theme that is introduced at the very beginning of the film. The locations are lovely and fit perfectly within the context of the chronicle. The film has vast music, the ideas it tries to find across are poignant, and it is distinguished, mighty better than the original film in its directing, acting, choreograpphy, and singing.
